Full job description

We are an established aluminium fabrication and glazing company based in Co. Antrim, specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of aluminium façade solutions across the commercial and domestic sectors.

Working predominantly with Metal Technology and APS aluminium systems, we deliver projects ranging from small-scale contracts through to £1m–£1.5m developments including schools, leisure centres, healthcare facilities, and commercial buildings.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Technician / Design Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation of AutoCAD drawings for architectural approval
Production of fabrication drawings for aluminium systems and products
Reviewing and interpreting architectural drawings, steelwork drawings, and 3D models
Coordinating aluminium façade details with wider building design information
Producing accurate manufacturing and production drawings
Liaising with sales, contracts, and production departments throughout the design and pre-production stages
Assisting with technical coordination and design management across multiple projects

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience within the aluminium façade / glazing industry
Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD
Strong understanding of aluminium systems and façade integration
Knowledge of BIM and coordination processes
Experience with Metal Technology and APS systems
Ability to read and interpret construction and fabrication drawings

· Familiarity with industry specific standards and relevant Building Regulations

· Experience of manufacturing / production and site installation processes

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

· Demonstrate knowledge of industry standard IT packages, Excel, Word etc.

Desirable

Knowledge of additional aluminium system manufacturers
Experience using Revit and other design coordination software

Working Hours

Monday – Thursday: 8:15am – 5:30pm
Friday: 8:15am – 1:00pm

Salary

Competitive salary offered, dependent on experience.
