We are seeking a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of system designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Schematics tools.
- Support the creation and modification of technical drawings adhering to GD&T standards.
- Contribute to the realisation of projects by preparing detailed schematics and technical documentation.
- Perform root cause analysis on design issues and propose effective solutions.
- Utilise MATLAB and Simulink for modelling, simulation, and analysis of engineering systems.
- Support the integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) into system designs, ensuring functionality aligns with project requirements.
- Aid in testing and validating prototypes using LabVIEW and other measurement tools.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure system design meets technical specifications and safety standards.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities and assist in refining designs based on testing outcomes.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of system design principles.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and schematic capture tools.
- Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW for simulation and data acquisition tasks.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their integration into systems.
- Knowledge of GD&T standards for precise technical drawings.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and system diagrams effectively.
- Basic understanding of root cause analysis techniques to identify issues efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: £24,420.00-£39,428.63 per year
