Batchelors Motor Group is seeking an ambitious and experienced Automotive Sales Manager to lead our Ripon dealership operation representing Suzuki, OMODA and JAECOO.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated automotive professional to join a well-established and growing dealer group during a major period of expansion for some of the industry’s fastest-growing brands.
We are looking for a strong leader who can inspire performance, drive profitability and develop a high-performing sales culture across a busy dealership environment. You will oversee a team of six Sales Executives, two Transaction Managers and five valeters. And our team is growing too.
The Role
As Sales Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the sales department. This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong commercial awareness, excellent people management skills and a proactive approach to dealership operations.
You will work closely with senior management to maximise new and used vehicle sales, improve departmental efficiency and ensure the continued growth of the Suzuki, OMODA and JAECOO franchises.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a sales team
- Drive new and used vehicle sales performance across all brands
- Manage showroom activity and maintain exceptional customer service standards
- Monitor departmental KPIs, profitability and conversion performance
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions and team development plans
- Manage a large used car stock with autonomy to stock your own department.
- Recruit, train and retain high-performing sales staff
- Ensure strong lead management and enquiry follow-up processes
- Oversee deal structuring and maximise finance and add-on product performance
- Maintain effective stock management and pricing strategies
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and manufacturer standards
- Work collaboratively with marketing and aftersales departments
- Develop local business opportunities and customer retention initiatives
- Create a positive, driven and accountable team culture
- Deliver operational excellence while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Support the continued growth and success of the OMODA and JAECOO brands

Previous experience as a Sales Manager within the motor trade is essential & live within 1 hours easy commute of our Ripon branch.
