About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for three Commissioning Support Officers to join Norfolk County Council’s Adult Social Services team.

Are you passionate about improving lives and shaping high-quality social care services? This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development and delivery of innovative commissioning arrangements across a diverse range of social care areas.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will help drive positive outcomes for adults with additional needs, ensuring services are person-centred, effective, and deliver excellent value for money. Working closely with Commissioning Managers, you will provide vital project support, information management, and data analysis that directly influences service development and decision-making.

About the Team

Adult Social Care in Norfolk commissions services supporting over £500 million of provision each year. The system includes multiple partners, including NHS Norfolk and Suffolk Integrated Care Board, District Councils, acute hospitals, and community health providers, with a strong focus on integration and innovation.

You will play a key role in supporting this landscape, ensuring commissioning activity is well-coordinated, evidence-based, and responsive to growing demand and changing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Support commissioning programmes and projects under the direction of the Commissioning Lead
Contribute to commissioning plans and service specifications aligned to local and national priorities
Maintain effective administrative and information management systems
Analyse data and produce reports to monitor service performance and value for money
Engage with key stakeholders across the system

About You

We are looking for an organised and proactive individual who can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

You will bring:

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Effective planning and organisational skills
The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines
A collaborative approach, with the ability to build constructive working relationships
Confidence working with data and producing reports
