Summary
An exciting position has become available for a full-time Kitchen and Bathroom Fitter based in Farnborough Hampshire. The successful candidate will earn between £41.000 – £48.000 Company van provided including running cost.
Role Requirements
- Ideally experienced in disabled adaptations.
- Ability to understand various methods of construction.
- Good understanding of domestic plumbing and heating.
- Ability to convert and/or extend existing plumbing, heating to suit new installation (First and second Fix - all systems)
- Understanding of drainage (Pumped wastes experience welcome but not essential)
- Clean DBS.
- Good communication skills.
- Team player.
- Driving licence B
- Own Tools
Role Responsibilities
- Stripping out existing bathrooms, often containing asbestos. (Training will be provided)
- Installation of all appliances including specialist BEAB care approved showers (Electric and Mixing Valves) shower toilets (Closomat, Geberit), Pumped Wastes (Whale or similar)
- Surface preparations to include plastering as well as drylining, floor levelling solid & timber floors, over boarding ceilings, and skimming, etc.
- Tiling, mostly ceramic and occasionally PVC panels/Wall Boards (Less often Stone and slate, etc)
- Carpentry: boxing in, door hanging, timber floor levelling, construction of stud walls, reinforcement of existing stud walls, etc
- Doorways widening to include installation of lintels and “making good”.
- Painting and decorating
Additional Responsibilities (NOT ESSENTIAL but welcome)
- Casting access ramps and platforms (Complete, preparation, shuttering, concrete or paving slabs, upstands
- Installations of Kee-Klamp (Galvanized Handrails)
- Installation of new Front, Back or Patio Doors with level access threshold
- Internal and external door widening to include all associated tasks (Brickwork, structural , etc.)
- · General building work knowledge to assist with bigger projects: Garage Conversions and Extensions.
- Installation of temporary access ramps and grabrails
- Installation of Semi- Permanent Ramps (manufactured off site)
