About the Role:
As a Design Coordinator, you will oversee and manage all design-related activities, ensuring seamless communication between architects, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders. You will play a key role in ensuring designs meet client expectations, regulatory standards, and are delivered on time and within budget. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and creative team while working on diverse projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend Client and Internal Project Start Meetings to ensure project specifications, deliverables and design requirements are fully understood and are then logged and tracked through to on time completion.
- Coordinate and manage the development of design documentation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Liaise with architects, construction teams, and internal departments to ensure designs align with project requirements and any areas of movement are highlighted, escalated and date adjustments are signed off.
- Maintain and update design documentation, ensuring it meets quality and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with external consultants and contractors to ensure effective design implementation.
- Provide support to the design team, scheduling meetings, tracking deliverables, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Ensure all key documents are completed, issued and uploaded as per the clients document protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in design coordination, ideally in construction, architecture, interior design.
- Experience of project scheduling and procurement management.
- Excellent document management and organisational skills with the ability to track and monitor project deliverables and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and documents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and document management systems.
- Positive, self motivated attitude.
