Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Practitioner to lead our baby room in Caerleon.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education for children in a nursery setting.

This full-time position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage and lead a team of practitioners.

42.5hrs per week over 5 days

Duties

Deliver outstanding care and education to children aged 0-2 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's learning and development in line with the Welsh curriculum
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues, fostering positive relationships within the nursery environment.
Manage daily nursery operations, including supervising staff, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Support the professional development of junior staff through mentoring and leadership.
Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of childcare services provided within the nursery.

Experience

A Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
A minimum of 2yrs proven experience working with babies
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to promoting children's development through play-based learning.
Experience in managing childcare settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
