Job description
Priory Building and Construction are seeking a dedicated bricklayer's labourer working in Newport, along with other sites from time to time as required.
The successful candidate will preferably meet the following criteria:
- Have approx 2-3 years experience of labouring in a construction / bricklaying environment - Required.
- Have a valid CSCS card - Required.
- Have a valid UTR number - Required (this is a self employed / CIS sub-contractor position and not an employed/PAYE position).
- Have a full driving license - Desirable.
- Will preferably be over 25 (due to insurance requirements) - Desirable.
- Will preferably live in or within close distance to Newport and able to make own way to site - Desirable.
- Previous participation in bricklaying roles - Desirable.
General tasks will include (but not limited):
- Assisting trades.
- Loading / unloading of materials.
- General site cleaning / tidying.
Initial contract length to cover 3-6 months, however potentially additional work for the right candidate.
Applicants will need to be courteous, hard working and maintain good timekeeping.
Own boots, tidy work clothes and PPE required, other PPE can be distributed as neccesary. General site hours from 0800 - 1630.
Previous reference required, payment weekly through CIS as self employed / sub-contractor during initial 3-6 month period.
