Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fire Risk Assessor to join our team, responsible for evaluating fire safety risks within various premises. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction principles and system design, enabling them to identify potential hazards and recommend effective mitigation strategies. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations across diverse environments.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
Analyse building layouts, construction materials, and existing safety systems to identify potential fire hazards.
Develop detailed reports outlining findings, risk levels, and recommended improvements or preventative measures.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure fire safety compliance.
Assist in the design and review of fire safety systems, including alarms, sprinklers, and escape routes.
Keep abreast of current fire safety legislation and industry best practices to maintain professional standards.
Provide expert advice on fire prevention strategies tailored to specific environments and building types.

Skills

Proven experience in construction or related fields with a strong understanding of building structures.
Knowledge of system design principles related to fire detection and suppression systems.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex environments accurately.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in report writing and documentation.
Effective communication skills for liaising with clients, authorities, and team members.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and building plans efficiently.
Professional certification or accreditation in fire safety or risk assessment is desirable but not essential. This position is fully paid and offers an engaging environment for professionals committed to enhancing fire safety standards through thorough assessment and innovative system design solutions.

Pay: £29,958.45-£57,088.52 per year
