Job Description

Are you enthusiastic and passionate about putting patient care at the heart of everything you do and want to be part of a team that provides first rate pharmaceutical care to the community? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our Musselburgh team, on a zero hours basis.

You will be a key part of the pharmacy team, delivering medication to patient homes, collecting prescriptions from GP surgeries, and delivering to care homes. You will be an ambassador for M&D Green to deliver this essential service for our patients.

Our Pharmacy Delivery Drivers might be the only person a patient interacts with that day therefore, you will have a friendly, positive attitude. You will be required to undergo a disclosure check to protect vulnerable groups

You will be flexible in your approach, be able to communicate effectively with our patients and other healthcare professionals and take pride in maintaining our vehicles to a professional pharmacy standard.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Delivery of medication to our patients and care homes from our Pharmacies, which may include heavy or bulky items

Collecting prescriptions from GP surgeries and delivering them to our Pharmacies in a safe and timely manner

Complete the Driver’s Manual which is retained within each Company vehicle which includes daily vehicle checks and completion of all paperwork

Drive in a safe and efficient manner at all times

Undertake relevant GPhC approved training

Log and record deliveries on hand-held tablets to enable the Pharmacies to track medication

Take a pride in your appearance and wear Company Uniform at all times

You will have:

A full, clean UK driving licence
Basic computer skills
Previous Pharmacy experience (desirable)
Previous experience as a delivery driver (desirable)
Previous customer services experience (desirable)
