Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Tradesman to join our dynamic team on a Self Employed basis to support the busy Re-Active Maintenance Team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills in various trades, including elements of plumbing work, basic electrical, carpentry, masonry, decorating and general building maintenance.
This role requires a hands-on approach to maintenance, repair, and construction tasks across multiple projects. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency in using both hand and power tools while ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- PLEASE NOTE: Although this advert is in Derby, there will be a volume of driving to various locations to complete the re-active work. This role does come with a company van, for business use only, and the successful candidate will have to collect from Bristol. (ALTERNATIVELY IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN COMMERCIAL VAN - Subject To Age - WE CAN OFFER A CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS THIS AND MILEAGE) We will complete detailed background checks and request references based on a job offer.
Duties
- Planning Own Route(s) - based on company process (Arriving at the first job for 8AM)
- Clear Communication to Office Helpdesk throughout day
- Completing works to a high quality level
- Plumbing, Basic Electrics, Carpentry, Roofing, Leaks, Decoration, General Building, Multi-Trade Repair works.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as electrical work, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or painting.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials when necessary.
