Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable 360 Operator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, specifically the 360-degree excavator, to assist with various earthworks and site development tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in commercial driving to contribute to large-scale projects in a dynamic environment. The ideal applicant will demonstrate safety consciousness, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Operate the 360-degree excavator safely and efficiently across different site locations.
- Assist with excavation, loading, and material handling tasks in accordance with project specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with site managers and other operatives to coordinate activities and meet project deadlines.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Support additional site duties as required, including assisting with other plant machinery or general labour tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating 360 excavators or similar heavy machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) is desirable for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent organisational skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Previous experience working on construction sites or similar environments is preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking a challenging position that utilises their technical skills and commitment to safety within the construction industry.
