Essential Requirements
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or actively working towards qualification).
- Proven experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor, or People Partnering role.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Demonstrable experience coaching, mentoring, and developing managers and leaders.
- Experience managing employee relations cases confidently and independently.
- Ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.

With exciting growth plans and a new site opening on the horizon, we are looking for an experienced and proactive People Advisor to join our People & Culture team on a 9-month maternity cover contract.
Reporting directly to the Head of People & Culture, you will play a key role in helping us build a high-performing, values-led culture during an exciting period of growth.
About the Role
This is a hands-on and varied HR role.
You'll work closely with managers and leaders across the organisation, providing trusted advice, coaching, and support on a broad range of people matters. You'll also contribute to key projects that support employee engagement, talent development, organisational growth, and continuous improvement.
We're looking for someone who is confident working autonomously, enjoys building strong relationships, and has the energy and ambition to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities
People Partnering
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and leaders across the business.
- Lead and support employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
- Coach and mentor managers to build leadership capability and confidence.
- Act as a trusted advisor, supporting managers in making effective people decisions.
Talent, Development & Organisational Growth
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and induction processes.
- Contribute to learning and development programmes that enhance capability across the organisation.
- Support business growth initiatives, including future site expansion projects.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support and deliver people projects across engagement, communications, and culture initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve people processes and employee experience.
- Contribute to the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the People & Culture function.
Data, Systems & Compliance
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR system data.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
- Analyse people data and trends to support decision-making and identify improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all people practices align with organisational values and legal requirements.
