Overview
We are seeking a skilled Motorcycle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for motorcycles and possess strong mechanical knowledge. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motorcycle models to ensure optimal performance and safety. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their technical skills within a professional workshop environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of motorcycles to identify mechanical issues
Diagnose faults accurately using specialised tools and equipment
Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components
Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to complete repair tasks
Test ride motorcycles post-repair to ensure issues are resolved and performance standards are met
Maintain detailed records of all work carried out on each motorcycle
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations
Advise customers on necessary repairs and maintenance requirements

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in motorcycle repair or similar fields
Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and impact drivers
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to explain technical issues clearly to customers
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Organised approach to managing multiple repair jobs efficiently
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MOT tester
