Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Floor Layer to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in flooring installation and related trades. Duties
- Assist in preparing surfaces for flooring installation, including cleaning and levelling
- Learn to measure and cut flooring materials accurately using hand tools and power tools
- Support in laying and securing different types of flooring such as wood, laminate, or vinyl
- Follow schematics and instructions provided by supervisors to ensure precise installation
- Assist with the mixing and application of adhesives or other materials as required
- Participate in site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work environment
- Support with general construction tasks including painting, carpentry, and minor repairs as needed
- Operate hand tools and power tools under supervision to develop proficiency in their use
Requirements
- Basic common sense
