Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid commercial driving licence and have Class 2 pallet network multi Drop experience preffered. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations around London BR, CR, E, SE and SW postcodes ensuring that all deliveries are executed efficiently and in compliance with road safety regulations.

Duties

Operate 18t lorry to transport goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transit.
Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the lorry, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence is essential.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Class 2 licence is essential.
Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
