Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, and providing excellent patient care. This paid position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a professional environment committed to patient safety and well-being. Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Accurately dispense prescribed medications in accordance with pharmacy protocols and legal requirements
Support pharmacists in maintaining patient records and managing medication stock levels
Provide compassionate patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage
Prepare and label prescriptions accurately, ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to uphold safety standards
Follow all health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures

Skills

Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or in a similar healthcare role is advantageous
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards
