Full job description

Key Outputs and Accountabilities

To process and record all incoming invoices from suppliers and vendors, verifying the accuracy of these invoices and ensuring they receive the necessary approvals.
To raise purchase orders in a timely and organised manner, ensuring that all invoices are attached to a purchase order.
To prepare and schedule payment runs to suppliers, operating within payment terms.
To reconcile delivery notes and supplier statements.
To set up new suppliers and maintain communication with existing suppliers to address any discrepancies in invoices, resolve payment issues and maintain positive relationships.
To maintain the purchase ledger through accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring that invoices, receipts, and other relevant documentation are filed appropriately for auditing purposes.
To process and reimburse employee expenses in line with the company’s expenses policy.

Person Specification

Essential

Experience of using Sage Intacct.
Experience of working within an SME environment.
A personable, ‘can-do’ attitude.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Recent all-round experience in a busy finance function, being flexible and reliable in a fast-moving and demanding environment.
Excellent attention to detail.
Thorough understanding and experience of financial procedures.
Excellent organisation and planning skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
An aptitude for IT with a comprehensive knowledge of software packages.
Self-discipline.
Ability to work to tight deadlines.
Has a valid UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

An interest in performing arts/volunteering.

This role will be subject to a DBS check and references.
