The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a varied programme of engaging activities that promote independence, wellbeing, and enjoyment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organise, and deliver a stimulating programme of individual and group activities.
- Encourage residents to participate in activities that reflect their interests, hobbies, and abilities.
- Organise themed events, celebrations, entertainment, and outings where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, volunteers, and the wider community.
- Monitor and evaluate activities to ensure they meet residents' needs and preferences.
- Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation.
- Work closely with the care team to promote residents' wellbeing and quality of life.
Essential Requirements
- A caring, friendly, and enthusiastic personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creativity and the ability to motivate and engage older people.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Experience in an activities, care, or community-based role is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends and special events.
