Full job description

Are you ready to kick-start a rewarding new career? We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Dental Nurse/ Receptionist to join our team. If you enjoy working with people and want to build a future in healthcare, this could be perfect for you.

As a practice we will provide full training and support through your Dental Nursing Qualification and our team of dedicated and highly experienced qualified Dental Nurses will be a strong support network.

Duties

Assisting the dental team during patient treatments, ensuring comfort, compliance and safety
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilising equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Welcoming patients, checking them in, and managing appointment schedules at the reception desk
Providing excellent customer service through clear communication and organisational skills
Maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems
Managing administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, booking appointments, and handling correspondence
Decontamination duties in accordance with industry regulations

Requirements

Basic understanding of patient care principles and a genuine interest in healthcare
Good organisational skills to manage appointments and maintain accurate records
Strong IT skills for operating practice management software and digital systems
Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages
Ability to work well within a team environment and follow instructions diligently
Previous experience in nursing or reception roles is not essential; training will be provided for all aspects of the role
