Tarka Van Hire is seeking a self-motivated and customer-focused Branch Coordinator to be the face of our growing Exmouth branch. This is a part-time role of 20–25 hours per week, with scope for more hours if required.

About the Role:
Our Exmouth branch is currently run remotely from our Bideford head office. It's a relatively new site, but it is growing month by month and we've quickly built a strong local following. We're now looking for someone to be on the ground daily — running the branch, looking after customers in person, and helping us continue to grow.
This role would suit somebody looking for regular work but not always tied down to long days. You will need self-discipline, motivation, and the confidence to work independently, as the branch is unmanned. In return, you'll have real ownership of how the branch runs day-to-day, and a genuine opportunity to grow with the site as it expands.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Checking vehicles in and out with customers, recording photos of vehicles and logging any new damage
- Cleaning, preparing and maintaining vehicles to a high standard, ready for the next customer
- Delivering and collecting vehicles to and from local clients, working alongside current staff
- Liaising with head office to confirm vehicle collection times and customer details for bookings
- Coordinating with staff to plan the day and ensure everything is prepared for customers
- Building relationships with local customers and growing brand confidence in the Exmouth area
- Helping to develop systems and processes for self-management at the branch Working in line with other branches to keep our customer experience consistent
- Cleaning and maintaining the site and storage units, ready for the next customer
- Potential Saturday and Sunday cover, depending on customer demand
- Growing with the branch, with the potential to create new opportunities for future progression for the right person
Qualifications:
- Full UK clean driving licence (minor points accepted), held for a minimum of 2 years D1 driving licence preferred but not essential
- Confident with mobile phones and able to pick up our booking and inspection systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Self-discipline, motivation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A customer-first attitude and pride in site and vehicle presentation
- Flexibility — particularly around occasional weekend cover
