Key Responsibilities:

Childcare and Education:
- Ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 2-4 years.
- Delivering an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

- Providing a high standard of care and implementing positive behavior management strategies.

- Supervising and mentoring staff within the room, including nursery practitioners, assistants, and apprentices.
- Delegating responsibilities and ensuring staff are working effectively.
Parental Partnerships:
- Building positive relationships with parents and communicating effectively about their child's development.
- Involving parents in their child's learning and development.
- Addressing any concerns or questions from parents.
Administrative Tasks:
- Maintaining accurate records of children's progress, observations, and assessments.
- Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met, including those related to health, safety, and safeguarding.
- Participating in staff meetings and contributing to the self-evaluation and improvement plan.
Other Responsibilities:
- Creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all children and families.
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed by senior management.
- Working with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families.
