Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Airport Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services for travellers and business executives. The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and strong communication abilities. This role involves operating various vehicles, maintaining them, and ensuring a high standard of customer service. The Airport Driver will play a vital part in ensuring smooth airport operations and passenger satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles to transport travellers and business executives between Gloucester and Cheltenham to desired locations.
- Assist passengers with luggage handling when required, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the journey.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
- Follow all traffic laws and airport regulations to guarantee safe transportation at all times.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, team members, and management to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, vehicle mileage, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of vehicles after each shift.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Previous experience in delivery or passenger transport is desirable.
- Ability to operate various types of vehicles including MPVs.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, nights or weekends as required by our customer base. This role offers an opportunity to be an integral part of a journey while ensuring passenger safety and comfort through professional driving services.
- A private Hire License will be required and help will be provided in obtaining this. The cost of this is approximately £500 and will be deducted from the salary over the first 12 months employment.
Pay: £13.50-£20.00 per hour
