Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced LIVE IN Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar within a hospitality setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine leadership with hands-on involvement in food and beverage service, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. The successful candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, a passion for hospitality, and extensive knowledge of food preparation, serving, and bar management. Responsibilities
- Supervise the bar team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality standards
- Manage the serving of beverages and food items, ensuring prompt and courteous service
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in food production tasks as needed, including cocktail making and barista duties
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory efficiently
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction
- Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks, and oversee team performance
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in accordance with health regulations
- Handle guest enquiries or complaints professionally, resolving issues promptly
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Experience in serving beverages and managing bar operations effectively
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team confidently
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen experience is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Hospitality or culinary qualifications are advantageous but not essential
- Previous barista experience or experience working in a similar role is preferred
- A friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
