Full job description

School Cleaner

Monday to Friday

Cleaning after 3.30

2 hours daily

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking cleaner to join our supportive team. Ensuring a high level of cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us and we require an individual who is motivated to achieve this for our pupils and staff.

You will be required to carry out a range of cleaning duties within a specified area of the school adhering to Health & Safety procedures and regulations. Main duties will include:

Maintaining a high standard of cleaning and waste removal in your area of the school
Providing a safe working environment whilst dealing with chemicals, ensuring that they are handled in accordance with Control of Substances Hazardous to Heath (COSHH) Assessments
Ensuring all cleaning schedules are followed
Vacuuming
emptying bins
wiping desks
mopping of hard floors
cleaning bathrooms
dusting etc.

The ideal candidate should be:

Dedicated and resilient
Friendly, approachable, flexible and reliable
Able to work well with people
Someone who has high cleaning standards, taking pride in their work to ensure the children have a clean and safe school in which to learn
Able to work under guidance or individually to carry out the range of duties required
Willing to undertake relevant training.
Able to communicate positively with all the members of the school community including children and adults to contribute to the welcoming and supportive ethos of our school

28 days holiday

Term time 39 working weeks

Plus 1 week during summerholidays but flexible

Experience would be an advantage

A Dbs check will need to be completed

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.00 per hour
