Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping team. The successful candidate will ensure that high standards of cleanliness and service are maintained across all areas, providing an exceptional experience for our guests. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, optimise cleaning procedures, and uphold the organisation’s reputation for excellence. The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating staff schedules, conducting inspections, and fostering a positive working environment.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient service delivery.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
Train new staff members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
Manage staff schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to meet operational goals.
Address guest complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
Enforce health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and organisation-wide standards.
Utilise effective communication skills to motivate team members and facilitate smooth operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the housekeeping or hospitality industry.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Prior experience with customer service is highly desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team with professionalism and positive attitude.
