Job Overview
Brauer Ltd are seeking an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of welding and fabrication tasks, working from technical drawings, and producing high-quality fabricated components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding and fabrication work to a high standard.
- Carry out MIG and MMA (Stick) welding on a range of materials and components.
- Gas welding experience would be a distinct advantage.
- Read and interpret technical and engineering drawings accurately.
- Assemble, fabricate, and weld components using welding fixtures and jigs.
- Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Ideally 5+ years' experience in a welding and fabrication role.
- Proven experience in MIG and MMA welding.
- Gas welding experience is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Competent in the use of hand tools, grinders, drills, cutting equipment, and general fabrication machinery.
- Experience working with welding fixtures, jigs, and fabrication assemblies.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Desirable Qualifications
- Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications/certifications.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or metal fabrication environment.
- Forklift, overhead crane, or other workshop-related certifications would be advantageous.
Pay: Up to £20.00 per hour
