Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality components. The position involves working with CAD software, programmable logic controllers, and various hand tools to ensure precise production according to specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.
- Programme CNC machines using CAD files and SolidWorks models to ensure accurate production runs.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on CNC machinery to optimise performance and minimise downtime.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to facilitate accurate fabrication.
- Handle materials safely within the warehouse environment, including loading, unloading, and storage of raw materials and finished products.
- Utilise hand tools, tooling, and welding equipment as necessary for machine setup or minor repairs.
- Perform basic math calculations for measurements, tolerances, and dimensions to maintain quality standards.
- Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring components meet quality specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve manufacturing processes and optimise workflow.
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, machining, or manufacturing environments with a focus on CNC operations.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) utilised in automated machinery.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar design tools.
- Hands-on experience with milling machines, tooling setup, welding, and materials handling.
- Knowledge of mechanical principles relevant to CNC operation and maintenance.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform precise measurements using basic math skills.
- Previous warehouse experience or involvement in assembly tasks is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to machine operation, welding, and materials handling.
