24hr hour Care Navigator post
If you are looking for a part time post and would like to be part of our small friendly team, this role may be ideal for you as we can provide you with good experience of an administrative and public facing role and also opportunities to learn new skills. Full training will be provided and we are always keen to develop our staff by providing training opportunities - such as in dispensing or in skills such as phlebotomy.
We have a vacancy which has arisen due to other members of our team training in other areas and also to provide additional hours to manage our increased workload.
The days and hours are -
- Wednesday - 9.30am - 6pm
- Thursday - 10am - 6.30pm
- Friday - 9.30am - 6pm
You will be working alongside other care navigators and full training will be provided.
The post will usually be 24hrs per week but additional hours are always available to cover staff leave and so longer hours are usually available. We may be able to offer some flexibility and consider slightly shorter working days however you must be able to start at 8am and/or finish at 6.30pm when required to cover.
Should you be interested in training in the dispensary, then additional hours may be available on Tuesdays. Training in dispensary is supported by online modules along with on the job experience, leading to a NVQ2.
As a Care Navigator, you will be the first point of contact for our patients either face to face on the phone or via email and you will also be required to carry out various administrative tasks such as prescription administration and task management relaying information back to patients from the GP. The successful applicant will have good communication and people skills, be a strong and flexible team player, have good attention to detail, be computer literate and able to work on their own initiative.
We are a small rural GP dispensing practice based in Rudgwick in West Sussex on the Surrey border. There are good public transport links to Cranleigh and Horsham and onsite parking is available. Our team consists of 3 GPs, one nurse, two nursing associates training to be nurses, health care assistants, dispensing team and admin team.
