Benholm Care Home is a warm, characterful 34‑bed home located on the outskirts of Forfar. Set within a beautifully converted mansion, the home features bright communal spaces, original features, and peaceful, well‑maintained grounds. We provide a welcoming, homely environment where residents are supported to live comfortably, safely, and with dignity.

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and caring Kitchen Porter / Domestic Assistant to join our agency team to support the home when required. This is a vital role within the home, helping to maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and overall comfort for our residents.

In this role, you will support both the kitchen and domestic teams to ensure that the home remains clean, safe, and welcoming — contributing to a positive daily experience for everyone who lives and works at Benholm.

Key Responsibilities

As a Kitchen Porter / Domestic Assistant, you will:

Assist with kitchen duties, including washing up, cleaning equipment, and maintaining hygiene standards
Support the safe and efficient operation of the kitchen environment
Ensure all kitchen areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with food safety standards
Carry out domestic duties such as cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas
Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the home
Support infection prevention and control procedures
Ensure cleaning materials and equipment are used safely and appropriately
Work as part of the wider team to create a comfortable, homely environment for residents
