The line maintenance lead and planner is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling and Breakdown Elimination Daily Management Systems for their area. They coach line teams to strengthen technical capabilities and ensure alignment with other progressive maintenance systems.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in Daily Direction Setting (DDS) meetings, report previous‑day results, and support execution of the daily plan.

Maintain an accurate work order backlog and manage planned maintenance using the SIMPTWW framework (Safety, Information, Materials, People, Tools, Where and When).

Review completed work daily, adjust schedules as needed, and coordinate planned stops with line and process leads.

Lead weekly and monthly maintenance planning aligned with the annual maintenance strategy.

Track maintenance KPIs, identify performance gaps, and escalate issues when required.

Drive corrective actions across breakdown elimination, planning, Autonomous Maintenance, cost control, and spare‑parts usage.

Identify improvement opportunities, define loss‑reduction themes, and manage related action plans.

Lead continuous improvement efforts, including equipment design changes, change management, and documentation updates.

Support vendor acceptance testing, new equipment initiatives, and PM Pillar activities.

Collaborate with Autonomous Maintenance (AM) teams, Progressime Maintenance (PM) resources, storeroom personnel, and site leadership.
Qualifications:
- Maintenance training background with knowledge of Integrated Work Systems and high‑performance work environments.

Strong organizational, technical, and priority‑setting skills.

Effective communication, coaching, and training abilities.

Practical equipment‑handling and tool‑use skills.

Proficiency in Autonomous Maintenance steps 0–4, including work point analysis and line transformation understanding.

Knowledge of Progressive Maintenance steps 1–4 and structured problem‑solving methods.

Completion of Maintenance Planning & Scheduling and Breakdown Elimination workshops.

Familiarity with maintenance information systems, storeroom operations, visual standards, and basic computer tools.
