Full job description

The family-run garden centre is seeking a Garden Products Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture with a strong background in retail management and would progress quickly into the M&C management team.

*Duties*

- Manage day-to-day operations of the garden centre

- Ensure the garden centre is well-stocked with a variety of gardening tools, and accessories

-Take an active role in the buying process: Ordering, preparing goods received documents and receiving stock

- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue

- Maintain a high level of customer service

- Create visually appealing displays to attract customers

-Travel to trade shows as part of the buying team.

*Experience*

- Previous experience in buying or retail management

- Strong leadership and communication skills

-Confident with Excel and other Microsoft programs

- Ability to sell products and provide excellent customer service

-Fork Lift licence desirable but not essential

Mackenzie & Cruickshank is an award-winning garden centre incorporating a gift shop and clothing department, coffee shop, pet and bird food area and of course its vast garden and outdoor living centre.

It hosts regular events throughout the year with guest appearances from gardening experts, a large Christmas extravaganza, and it runs a very successful reward card scheme

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £33,000.00 per year
