The Role
Reporting directly to the Reservations Manager. The role of Ticketing and Reservations Executive involves dealing with passengers over the phone and by email.
The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task and work under at times extreme pressure. Meeting deadlines is essential as is a confident approach to computer technology.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday and the hours are from 11:00 through to 19:30
Day to day duties
- Answering telephone enquiries from travel agents and the general public
- Working through the email account for airline
- Providing feedback to the sales team on call volumes and nature of all the enquiries
- Providing customers with quotes for flight, changes and ancillaries e.g.: extra baggage and seats.
- Making bookings through the airlines GDS (eg: Amadeus, Sabre, HitIt, Videcom)
- Making changes and updating bookings
- Working airline Q's
Required knowledge and skillset
- A good knowledge of at least one GDS i.e.: Sabre, Amadeus, VAR's, Hitit
- Ability to communicate effectively both written over the phone
- Can "do" approach to work
- Willingness to help and problem solve
- Reasonable knowledge of Microsoft office, excel and generally computer literate
- Great team player
- Excellent time management and can meet deadlines
- Flexible approach
