Veterinary Receptionist / Animal Care Assistant

Full or Part time considered | Competitive Salary (Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Veterinary Receptionist / Animal Care Assistant to join our dedicated team within a very fast-paced and progressive small animal practice.

This is a varied and rewarding role combining exceptional client care with hands-on support for our clinical team. As the first point of contact for our clients and an important part of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring both pets and their owners receive the highest standard of service and support.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Reception Duties

Delivering a professional, friendly, and empathetic service to clients and their pets.
Managing appointments, telephone enquiries, and client communications efficiently.
Maintaining accurate clinical records and processing payments.
Supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the reception area.

Animal Care Assistant Duties

Assisting veterinary surgeons and nurses with the care of patients.
Preparing and maintaining clinical areas to the highest standards.
Providing care and comfort to hospitalised patients under the direction of the veterinary team.
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, infection control, and stock management.
Undertaking general housekeeping duties to ensure the practice runs efficiently.

Previous experience in a veterinary environment would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided for the right individual.
