Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Sprayer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying finishes to joinery products with precision and care, ensuring high-quality standards are met. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, construction painting, or warehouse experience to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. The position involves working with various tools and equipment, requiring mechanical knowledge and a keen eye for detail.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces and products for spraying by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Operate spray booths and equipment to apply finishes evenly on joinery components
- Mix paints, stains, or varnishes according to specified colours and formulations
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to ensure safety and quality standards are upheld
- Inspect finished products for consistency, colour accuracy, and surface defects
- Assist with assembly or fabrication tasks when required using hand tools and power tools
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently during all stages of spraying and handling materials
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience in spray painting, preferably within joinery, woodworking, or construction environments
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating spray equipment and hand tools
- Familiarity with fabrication processes, assembly, or welding is advantageous
- Basic maths skills for measuring and mixing paints or finishes accurately
- Warehouse experience or background in construction painting is desirable
- Competence in using power tools safely and effectively during preparation or finishing processes
- Prior exposure to working with hand tools, welding equipment, or in a manufacturing setting will be beneficial
