Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured projects, Mahoney Contracts is looking to recruit a Site Manager to join our expanding delivery team.
We are seeking proactive, hands-on professionals who take pride in delivering high-quality projects safely, on time and within budget. This is an excellent opportunity with a well-established principal contractor delivering commercial refurbishment and fit-out projects nationwide.

The Role
Reporting to the Director & Contracts Managers, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day management of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
You’ll coordinate site activities, manage subcontractors, maintain programme deadlines, and act as the key point of contact on site while representing Mahoney Contracts professionally at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors across multiple trades
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures
- Monitor project progress against programme
- Coordinate deliveries and collections/exchanges of hire equipment & skips in line with project requirements
- Carry out regular quality inspections and resolve on-site issues
- Maintain accurate site records and provide daily progress updates to Contracts Manager and the wider project team
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
Please note: Our projects are located throughout the UK, so travel and working away may be required.
About You
You’ll be an organised, motivated, and professional Ste Manager with excellent communication skills and the ability to lead teams confidently on site.
You will have:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Site Management role
- Experience delivering commercial refurbishment or fit-out projects
- Excellent knowledge of construction Health & Safety legislation.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills
- The ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
Essential qualifications:
- SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- Relevant construction trade background or equivalent experience
