Tidal Mechanical & Electrical services is looking for a motivated and ambitious Trainee Electrical Project Manager to join our growing team
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an electrical background who is looking to progress their career into project management. You'll work alongside experienced Electrical Project Managers, gaining hands-on experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion.
Full training and ongoing support will be provided, making this the ideal role for an electrician, electrical supervisor, or recently qualified electrician ready to take the next step in their career.
What we're looking for
- Electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- A good understanding of electrical installations and industry standards
- A good understanding of NICEIC requirements, BS7671 and industry regulations.
- A willingness to learn and develop into a Project Manager
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with our electrical operatives, contractors, suppliers, and clients, face to face and over Teams meetings or other equivalent software applications
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office suite and other supporting software applications
- Full UK driving Licence & willing to travel regionally
Responsibilities
As a Trainee Electrical Project Manager, you will support our Project Managers by:
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of electrical projects
- Attending site meetings with clients, contractors and suppliers
- Helping prepare project programmes, schedules and reports
- Supporting procurement of materials and equipment
- Monitoring project progress, costs and deadlines
- Carrying out regular site visits to ensure quality and compliance
- Assisting with health & safety documentation and project paperwork
- Liaising with electricians, subcontractors and clients
- Learning how to manage projects from design through to completion

- Electrician
- Approved Electrician
- Electrical Supervisor
- Electrical Tester
- Site Supervisor
