Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Breakdown Tyre Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining tyres on commercial vehicles, ensuring safety and efficiency on the road. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of tyres on commercial vehicles to identify damage or wear.
- Remove and replace tyres using hand tools and power tools efficiently and safely.
- Perform tyre repairs, including patching and sealing, adhering to safety standards.
- Assist with tyre maintenance tasks such as balancing and inflation adjustments.
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and recommendations clearly to clients.
- Assist with general vehicle maintenance tasks as required, supporting overall fleet upkeep.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or vehicle maintenance preferred.
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in tyre repair and maintenance.
- Experience in vehicle maintenance or workshop environments is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during tyre replacements or repairs.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients.
- Previous experience working with commercial vehicles is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Pay: From £38,000.00 per year
