Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining bathroom fixtures and fittings in residential and commercial properties. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in plumbing, carpentry, or related trades to utilise their expertise in a dynamic environment. Applicants must be committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and adhering to safety standards.

Duties

Installing bathroom suites, including baths, sinks, toilets, and showers with precision and care
Repairing or replacing existing fixtures and fittings as required
Using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete installations
Conducting plumbing work such as pipe fitting, sealing, and leak repairs
Assembling bathroom components and ensuring correct alignment and secure fitting
Cutting and shaping materials using carpentry skills to fit fixtures seamlessly into existing spaces
Ensuring all work complies with relevant building regulations and safety standards
Managing heavy lifting tasks safely during the transportation and installation of bathroom units
Maintaining a clean and organised work area throughout each project

Skills

Proficiency in welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly techniques
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and specialised mechanical equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues effectively
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and adjustments during installations
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Knowledge of commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment between sites
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
