Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant and Bar Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional guest services, supporting food and beverage operations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. The successful candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently. Previous experience in restaurant / bar settings is essential. Training will be provided. Staff accommodation available.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive dining experience
Ensuring timely delivery to guests
Serve food and drinks in accordance with health and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness throughout service
Support food preparation activities as needed, including basic kitchen tasks and organisation of supplies
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times
Setting up and clearing tables efficiently
Handle guest enquiries courteously, resolving any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction
Ability to work on one's own essential and willingness to mulit-task
Requirements
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential
Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities
Good understanding of guest service principles and the importance of creating a welcoming atmosphere
Ability to perform basic maths accurately for billing and cash handling purposes
Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food handling procedures
Effective communication skills with a friendly demeanour
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
