Start a Career Working with Technology — Not Behind a Desk

KOREC Group is one of the UK and Ireland’s leading providers of surveying, mapping and geospatial technology, and part of the global Cansel Group.

We’re looking for a Junior Hire Technician to join our Operations Centre in Huntingdon. This is a hands-on, practical role where you’ll work with real equipment—preparing, checking and maintaining technology used across construction and engineering projects.

No previous experience is required—we’ll provide full training. What matters most is your work ethic, reliability, and interest in how things work.

What You’ll Be Doing

Preparing and issuing equipment ready for customer hire
Testing and checking surveying equipment to make sure it’s working properly
Assisting with basic maintenance and fault finding
Handling goods in and goods out
Keeping the workshop clean, organised and safe
Working as part of a team to ensure customers receive equipment on time and ready to go

This Role Is Ideal For Someone Who:

Enjoys working with equipment, tools or electronics
Prefers a hands-on role rather than sitting at a desk all day
Is curious about how things work and likes fixing or assembling things
Has a strong work ethic and takes pride in doing a job properly
Is reliable, proactive and keen to learn
Is organised, with good attention to detail
Wants to start a long-term technical career

You might have studied something technical (e.g. engineering, construction, electronics) — or simply enjoy practical work in your spare time.

This is a workshop-based role, and may not suit candidates looking for primarily office-based, admin or IT-focused positions.
