Description

Join LOCALiQ, part of Newsquest Media Group, and play a key role in supporting local businesses through the power of trusted media brands like the Echo.

This is a fast-paced, telephone-based sales role where you will speak directly with business owners across the region. You will take a consultative approach, understanding each client’s goals and recommending tailored advertising solutions across our digital and print portfolio.

Whether you are an experienced sales professional or looking to build a career in sales, LOCALiQ offers full training, ongoing support and a collaborative office environment where success is recognised and rewarded.

This role is fully office-based in Basildon, working Monday to Friday during standard office hours.

Key Responsibilities

Generate new business through proactive outbound calling and sales activity
Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients
Achieve and exceed revenue targets and KPIs
Manage and grow existing accounts, identifying upsell opportunities
Deliver a consultative sales approach, tailoring solutions to client needs
Build long term relationships with local businesses
Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth campaign delivery
Stay up to date with market trends and LOCALiQ’s product offering
Represent the Echo and LOCALiQ brand in a professional and credible manner

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Confident communicator with strong influencing skills
Comfortable with outbound calling and building relationships over the phone
Ability to win new business and close sales
Target driven with a motivated and resilient mindset
Strong customer service and account management approach
Consultative selling style with the ability to understand client needs
Previous B2B sales experience is advantageous but not essential
Interest in or understanding of digital and print advertising is beneficial
Able to commute to Basildon and work in an office based environment
