Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Plumber to carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations for our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard, in accordance with relevant regulations and safety procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Plumbing Repairs and Maintenance: Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations, including pipework, fittings, and appliances.
Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service.
Safety Procedures: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with relevant regulations, including building standards and health and safety regulations.
Teamwork: Work effectively with other team members to ensure that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain company vehicles and equipment in good working order.
Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of work carried out, including timesheets, job sheets, and material usage.
Qualifications & Experience
· Education: SVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification
· Certification: Gas Safe (or ability to obtain)
· Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a plumber in a maintenance or construction environment
· Knowledge: Plumbing systems, Installation techniques, Safety practices
· Skills:
Knowledge of plumbing systems, including pipework, fittings and appliances
Understanding of plumbing codes and regulations, including Scottish building standards
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Be able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively and to be able to complete tasks to a high standard.
Technology:
Be comfortable with smartphones/tablets for accessing work schedules and communication tools.
Familiarity with power tools and machinery and their safety features
