Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Traffic Manager to oversee the smooth flow of traffic operations within our organisation. The successful candidate with their colleagues, will be responsible for managing a team of drivers with the correct information and make sure a fleet of coaches transport passengers all over the UK and Europe.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor our traffic movements to ensure safety efficiency across our operations.
- Coordinate with Drivers, that pre vehicle checks are being done.
- Making sure Drivers are understanding and complying with Drivers Hours Regulations
- Arranging Driver and Vehicle parking in safe places
- Working out routes and arranging Driver accommodation efficiently
- Comunicating with your traffic colleagues any issues or problems, as Teams solve things faster than individuals.
- Respond promptly to any incidents or disruptions, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of traffic activities, incidents, and Vehicle lists for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in management roles related to traffic or logistics operations.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with team members, Drivers, and external agencies.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures and Drivers hours.
- Valid driving licence with an ability to operate company vehicles if required.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A proactive attitude with problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to safety standards.
- Be able to work as part of a Team, and feel part of a Team.
- Working pattern is four days on and two days off.
Pay: £44,000.00-£48,000.00 per year
