IT Technician
Location: Glenrothes
Full time – Monday to Friday

The Role
The main objective of this role is to provide support to the organization covering all aspects of IT hardware, software and networking whether in person or using remote access tools.
Key Job Responsibilities
· Delivering a first-class service experience to IT department customers.
· 1st, 2nd and occasional 3rd line IT hardware, software, networking and desktop support for all users.
· Creating, maintaining and updating documentation.
· Supporting various departmental and business projects.
· Tracking and carrying out proactive and routine maintenance tasks on IT assets.
· Occasional back shift support dependant on business requirements
· On call, out of hours support, may be required dependant on the immediate business need.
· Be able to work independently & autonomously as well as part of a bigger team as and when required
Candidate Profile/Qualifications
· Previous IT Support experience
· A strong desire to learn new skills and take an active role in the IT department.
· Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to take ownership of issues.
· Willing to take the initiative and be creative in your approach to problem solving.
· Have a good sense of humor, be resilient and have patience
Skills
· At minimum, basic IT troubleshooting skills
· Work efficiently in a demanding, fast moving and high-pressure environment.
· Excellent problem solving leading to both problem resolution and root cause analysis.
· Strong communication skills both to individuals in person, or remotely and able to confidently communicate to groups informally and formally.
· Ability to work well within a team, while also being a self-reliant, self-starter as required.
· Effective participation in multiple concurrent projects.
