Full job description

Job Purpose:

Big Motoring World Group is an expanding car supermarket group that is going from strength to strength and is looking to employ a MET Technician at our Preparation Centre Site in Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast and progressive moving group as well as working alongside experienced technicians to help and support and your career development. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable individuals with a self-motivating attitude, with an eye for detail and able to work as part of a team within a busy, fast-moving environment.

Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 15:00pm – 01:00am and Friday, 15:00pm – 20:00pm

Duties and responsibilities

Stripping / refitting of bodywork panels in readiness for the body shop.
Stripping / refitting of new parts.
The ability to work on your own initiative as well as in a team.
Ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest quality standards.
Ensuring work areas and tools are kept tidy and in good working order.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
Ideal candidate should have industry qualifications or have minimum of 2 years’ experience in the role.
Good communicative skills and ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
Good time management, planning skills and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience of working to efficiency targets.
Systematic and organised; pays attention to the finer details.
Demonstrates an honest and diligent approach to work.
Ability to work as part of a Team.
Take pride and responsibility for your own appearance as well as the appearance and organisation of the site in which you work.
Driving license required.
