Role: Machine Operator (Nightshift)

Location: Leith

Rate of Pay: Hourly Rate Dependent on Experience

As a progressive, second-generation family business, we provide waste management services to the industrial, commercial, and construction industries. Our team of over 350 employees operates across ten sites in Scotland and North East England.

We are looking for an 360 Excavator Driver and A Wheeled / tracked Loading Shovel Driver to work at our Depot.

What will you be responsible for?

Maintain a high level of safe working across the site.
Loading material into various vehicles Fixed Plant / Shredders / Trommel
Pre-picking waste
Good general daily housekeeping of the site
Carrying out daily safety, greasing, and maintenance checks and documenting as per company procedures
Checking and re-filling fuel and oil daily
Effective Communication to other vehicle operators at sites to ensure safe and efficient working environment
Loading plant as the optimal rate
Ensure machinery and cabins are locked at end of shifts.
Complete any other reasonable tasks or requests as required.
Ensure breakdowns are reported to line manager in accordance with the site escalation process.
