About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated Deputy Nursery Manager to support the day-to-day management of our friendly and nurturing nursery. Working closely with the Nursery Manager, you will help ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and safeguarding for children.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early years professional who is passionate about supporting children’s development and helping lead a strong, supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager in the overall day-to-day running of the nursery
- Ensure the nursery complies with all safeguarding, health & safety, and regulatory requirements
- Lead, motivate, and support the nursery team to deliver high-quality early years education and care
- Support staff development through coaching, supervision, and training
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
- Monitor children’s learning and development
- Step in to manage the nursery in the absence of the Nursery Manager
- Ensure a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children
Requirements
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children's care, play, Learning and development (Level 5 or above desirable)
- Previous experience in a senior nursery role (Room Leader, Third in Charge, or Deputy)
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum, safeguarding, and CIW requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
