About the Role
We are looking for 2 Technical Support Engineers to join our growing European team. This is a home-based position, and candidates must be currently residing in Europe with the legal right to work in their country of residence.
The role combines both pre-sales and after-sales technical support for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). You will work closely with customers, EPC partners, and the internal engineering team to support projects across Europe.
Frequent travel to customer sites throughout Europe is required.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-sales Technical Support
- Provide technical support to the sales team during customer meetings and project discussions.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable BESS solutions.
- Support the preparation of technical proposals, presentations and project documentation.
- Participate in technical meetings and product demonstrations.
- Communicate customer technical requirements with engineering and product teams.
After-sales Technical Support
- Provide on-site installation guidance, commissioning, testing and acceptance support for BESS projects.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software and communication issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repair services.
- Deliver technical training to customers, EPC contractors and business partners.
- Prepare service reports and technical documentation.
- Escalate complex technical issues and work closely with headquarters to achieve timely resolution.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electronics, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the renewable energy industry.
- Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred:
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
- Solar PV
- PCS/Inverters
- Battery Systems
- Power Electronics
- Electrical Equipment
Candidates should have practical experience in one or more of the following:
- Installation
- Commissioning
- Testing
- Troubleshooting
- Maintenance
- Repair
- Field Service
- Project Delivery
Experience with commercial & industrial or utility-scale BESS projects will be considered an advantage.
Technical Skills
Experience with one or more of the following is preferred:
- Battery Management System (BMS)
- Energy Management System (EMS)
- Power Conversion System (PCS)
- SCADA
- Lithium Battery Systems
- Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Systems
Additional qualifications include:
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN and TCP/IP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Language Requirements
Required
- Good command of English, both spoken and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Preferred
Knowledge of one or more European languages will be considered an advantage, including:
- Polish
- German
- French
- Italian
- Greek
- Spanish
- Romanian
- Hungarian
Certifications (Preferred)
The following certifications or qualifications will be considered an advantage:
- Local electrical qualification or electrical safety certification.
- Low-voltage or medium-voltage electrical certification.
- BESS, PV, PCS/Inverter or battery system training certificates.
- Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) training.
- First Aid certification.
- Working at Height certification.
- Valid Category B driving licence.
Working Arrangement
- Candidates must reside in Europe and have the legal right to work in their country of residence.
- This is a home-based (remote) position with no fixed office location.
- Frequent travel throughout Europe is required to support customer projects.
- Willingness to undertake short-term and extended business travel when required.
- A valid driving licence and the ability to drive independently are preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.

Pay: £24,420.00-£51,887.84 per year
