This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established and innovative team within Occupational Health and Wellbeing Services. The Vaccination Team is dedicated to improving health outcomes by increasing vaccination uptake and coverage for staff, patients and pregnant women, helping to protect communities from preventable diseases.
The successful candidate will work across Northumberland and North Tyneside on a 7-day rota, contributing to a flexible and responsive service. The team promotes a positive working culture and supports a healthy work–life balance.
The main base for this role will be North Tyneside General Hospital; however, the post holder will be required to work across the wider Trust as needed. A full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential. Applicants must also have completed their preceptorship.

The post holder will support the safe and effective delivery of a large-scale vaccination programme across hospital and community settings. This includes working to improve vaccination uptake rates and contributing to the wider public health agenda by enhancing health outcomes for both staff and patients.
The role involves close collaboration with Occupational Health and Wellbeing colleagues to deliver pre-employment vaccinations and undertake immunisation assessments for staff.

Vaccination nurse work autonomously and as part of a team, to provide a high quality service to staff and patients. They will be responsible for ensuring appropriate client safety whilst adhering to policies and procedures. To provide information to staff and patients to enable them to access the vaccination programme through informed consent.
